Joint Base MDL Air Show

We attended the Joint Base MDL Air Show on May 21, 2023 and the place was packed.  Always the event had a lot for everyone food fun, well-trained performers and awesome technology.

A bit lost in the festivities was the STEM Center set up in an airside warehouse.  The Civil Air Patrol Flight video simulators were a hit.  But so was the STARBASE table with the decidedly low-tech Fold Your Own Airplane and Aluminum Foil Boats.

Lesson learned getting noticed is important to getting foot traffic.  STEM event planners have to get in there and fight for prime real estate.
